If you suffer from mucus congestion or sinus problems, then this mucus-clearing juice recipe is just what you need to breathe proper, and pain-free! Excessive mucus in the body suggests that the body is in a state of agitation – this mucus can result from exposure to toxins, pollutants, food additives and food allergens like dairy, wheat, eggs, and soy.
Consuming dairy and wheat are usually the main culprits of mucus congestion. Casein in all dairy products and gluten in wheat are not properly digested by the human body, leaving small partly-digested food particles that putrefy and become coated in a thick mucus to prevent further putrefaction in the intestines.
This mucus-clearing juice recipe contains ingredients like radishes to help dissolve and cleanse out mucus from the body, as well as ginger and jalapeño pepper, which work to break up mucoid plaques and dispose of them.

Hi! I have mucus and sinus problems. I would love to try this juice but I hate the taste of tomatoes. I cannot bear it. Can I substitute tomatoes for something else or make it without the tomatoes??
Carly Fraser says
Hey Ann – that is totally fine if you omit the tomatoes!

I do not have a juicer but own a Ninja, Can I use that instead? or do you have a different recipe?
Carly Fraser says
Yes, you could use a Ninja. Just strain in a nut-milk bag afterwards.

I also don't have a juicer, but I have a blender with a liquify option. Would that work? Then strain in a nut-milk bag? As it sure comes out pretty thick. And not sure how much water, if any, to add to it to thin it out enough to drink.
Carly Fraser says
Hey Joe – this is a juice recipe, so you will need a juicer to make it. You could blend and strain in a nut-milk bag if you please.

Hello there I’ve been suffering from mucus for a long time now and would like to try the juice but some of the ingredients can not be found here. Is there any alternative?
Carly Fraser says
Please use the search bar above and look up “mucus” there are lots of articles on it, and what you need to do to get rid of it!
Maryam says
Is this safe for babies (10 mo old)? My son is really congested.
Carly Fraser says
I am not sure I would trust jalapeno and ginger with a 10 month old baby? Radishes are the main component of this juice. Maybe seek out other areas of his diet that may be contributing to the congestion.
