Consuming dairy and wheat are usually the main culprits of mucus congestion. Casein in all dairy products and gluten in wheat are not properly digested by the human body, leaving small partly-digested food particles that putrefy and become coated in a thick mucus to prevent further putrefaction in the intestines.

Ingredients:
– 1 bunch parsley
– 1 large beet
– 1 cup radishes
– 3 large tomatoes
– 1 cucumber
– 3 celery stalks

– 2 inches ginger root
– 1 lemon, peeled

I am hospitalized on a regular basis for intestinal blockages. Even had a foot of my intestines removed. Is there another juice you would recommend along with this one. Or is this juice enough.

I would recommend any juice at this point. Anything will help. Avoid wheat, eggs, meat, dairy, refined food products. Drink lots of water. Focus on greens, herbs, and fresh fruit.

I would personally juice fresh every time. If you make a juice and store it for 3 days to a week, it will oxidize and lose nutrient capacity.

Yes, it should still work. The lemon helps to clear mucus quite a bit, but the radish is the main thing needed.

Hey Jeannette – I drink plenty of carrot juice every day, and I haven't turned orange yet 😛 – Protein is easy, lots of vegans get asked that question, but amino acids (building blocks of protein) are in pretty much everything, and every plant food you can think of is loaded with amino acids. Just need to eat enough and not skimp on your meals.
