If you want to get rid of inflammation for good, celery juice is the answer.
Research done on celery juice and celery extracts have found that it lowers the activity of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha), as well as nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) and pro-inflammatory cytokines like interleukin 1B (IL-1B) and interleukin 8 (IL-8). These four messaging molecules are involved in the inflammatory response, so keeping them at lower levels is key to help prevent unwanted inflammation.
Polysaccharides in celery have also been linked with a decreased risk of inflammation in the cardiovascular system, and some studies have even suggested celery as being an alternative medicinal treatment for rheumatic disease.
This juice goes beyond celery, however, and includes one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory substances known to man – turmeric! This juice should be enough to make 1 litre. If not, make sure you use a little more celery to top it off. I recommend finding the biggest bunch of organic celery you can find, and juicing it!
