A pineapple turmeric smoothie?! Who could ask for anything more? This total-body healing smoothie is an excellent liver detoxifier, which in turn dramatically helps heal the skin and ease stress load on the kidneys.
Naturally, our livers help filter out toxins and other nasty debris, and as a whole, effectively detoxes the body. This doesn’t mean, however, that we shouldn’t give it a little help and clean it out every now and then. Many people have liver issues, especially if they have skin issues or if they consume alcohol or use any sort of drug, prescription or otherwise.
Turmeric is one of the most effective liver cleansers, acting as a potent anti-inflammatory and excellent toxin-eliminator. Oranges as also great for flushing out excess toxic waste, helping relieve toxic load on the liver. They are also high in vitamin C and beta-carotene, which is key for healthy looking skin.
Pineapple, too, is a great all-natural anti-inflammatory and helps reduce inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and acne. It also helps reduce inflammation in those suffering from arthritis, laryngitis, sinusitis, and helps treat and prevent atherosclerosis and angina (two common cardiovascular diseases).
Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
– 2 cups ripe pineapple
– 2 inches fresh turmeric root (or 1 tsp. raw turmeric powder)
– 1 cup ripe papaya (or mango)
– 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
– 1 cup leafy greens of your choice (I used spinach)
Method:
Stick all of the above ingredients in a blender, and pulse-blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Hi! I’m excited to try your smoothies. I do have a concern about orange juice. I don’t have time for fresh squeezed but also worry about the sugar content. Is there something else you would recommend? I have to watch my sugars. Thank you!
If you can’t fresh press the orange juice yourself just use water instead.
