If you’ve ever tweaked your finger, sprained your ankle or wrist, or fell wrong on your knee, you likely injured a ligament or tendon. Over time, injuries and wounds to these structures in our body can damage the knees and other joints over time and make them loose.
To help recover the natural lubrication and flexibility of ligaments and tendons, we need to eat the proper foods and be gentle with our bodies. Thankfully, recovery plans that involve tasty smoothies like this pineapple turmeric smoothie will help restore the natural lubrication of your knees and joints, and strengthen their structure.
Tendons are thick bundles of collagen that connect muscle to bone and allow movement, whereas ligaments are flexible bundles of collagen that connect bone to bone and protect your joints.
To make collagen, your body needs vitamin C and the mineral manganese. B vitamins like vitamin B12 and B6 help support nerve function and aids in the formation of amino acids (the building blocks of protein used to form muscles, tendons and ligaments).
Magnesium and zinc are also important for protein synthesis and tissue and bone formation.
This smoothie contains ingredients that contain all of the above, and more. Drink this once a day, and watch your joints and knees improve 10-fold!

Thank-you do much for the smoothy recipes. I am going out now to get the ingredients.
They look delicious, except for turmeric which I’m alarmingly allergic to. Do you have recipes that help with post-trauma swelling, eg feet /ankles after bad sprains. Drs can only suggest water tablets – urrrrgh – or support stockings – horrid in summer and bad with chilblains in winter. Thank you.
Have you tried pineapple or ginger? If you’re experiencing swelling, these should help. Other things that would help with swelling are celery and cucumber juice.
