This Turmeric Smoothie Is An Effective Alternative to Ibuprofen for Pain Relief

Tropical Turmeric Smoothie

Turmeric has proven itself to be one of the most powerful medicines on the planet, with one of its most renowned benefits being pain relief. This turmeric smoothie infuses your body with a host of different vitamins and minerals, as well as the active component of turmeric called curcumin.

Curcumin inhibits a major inflammatory agent called NF kappa-Beta, which exacerbates pain in those suffering from arthritis and other inflammatory-related diseases. It has been proven recently in a study to beat ibuprofen for arthritis of the knee.

Instead of taking ibuprofen, which is incredibly toxic to the heart and stomach, indulge in this delicious smoothie. Drink it once or twice a day for maximum effect.

Turmeric Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

– 4 ripe bananas
– 1 cup mango
– 2 tsp. soaked chia seeds
– 1 tsp. coconut oil (to improve bio-availability of curcumin in turmeric)
– 3 inches fresh turmeric root (or 2 tsp. powdered turmeric)
– 1 cup coconut water, or filtered water
– Optional: 2 cups leafy greens of your choice (alkalizing and healing)

Method:

Place the above ingredients into a blender, and blend on high until smooth (30-60 seconds). Enjoy!

    how much of this would I drink one or two times daily? That recipe seems to make a lot? Is this more than one days worth?

      This recipe serves 1, but if you can't drink it in one sitting, drink it two separate times in a day, like half in the morning and half in the evening.
