Carrots, ginger, turmeric detox fresh juice on wooden background. Healthy vegetarian food concept.

Suffer from nasal congestion or sinusitis? This carrot orange juice recipe contains ingredients that will provide you immediate relief.

A lot of nasal and sinus issues come from sensitivities to chemicals in the environment or home space (perfumes, shampoos, cleaners, etc.), or food like animal products (meat, eggs and dairy) or wheat, sugar and processed/refined foods.

When I stopped consuming dairy products a lot of my nasal issues cleared (not to mention my stomach stopped bloating and digestion improved dramatically). Dairy products especially create an excess of mucus in the body, which directly clog the sinuses and make breathing incredibly hard.

This juice is full of beneficial anti-inflammatories that help open up the airways and clear mucus from the sinus cavities. It is also loaded with vitamins, minerals and crucial phytonutrients to maintain overall good health.

Carrot Orange Juice Recipe

Ingredients:

– 6 large carrots
– 3 oranges, peeled
– 1 lemon, peeled
– 2 inches fresh turmeric root
– 2 inches fresh ginger root

Method:

Run all of the above ingredients through a juicer and drink immediately.

This morning at 5am my sinus were so blocked I could not breath. I almost fainted and was sure I would pass out. My over the counter tabs were not working. I found this site..had a carrot ginger n lemon juice and in 15minutes my sinus cleared. I'm blown away!! Thank you Carly!! My big sister has been juicing for years..I should have listened ages ago! But I'm a convert now!!

    Hi Carly,
I am moving through my third cold in a row from substitute teaching kindergarteners three times in four weeks. When I get a cold, I have bad problems with mucus, so I googled best foods for mucus problems and ended up on your website.
All this info makes so much sense, I'm going to start juicing again today. Don't know why I ever stopped. I've eliminated most dairy, but I read that clarified butter and kefir, because it is fermented, is actually good for you.
What are your thoughts on this? Also, I have eliminated kindergarten from my sub plans.

Haha, good to hear you eliminated kindergarten – that'll help for sure! 😉 I used to work as a childcare provider as well and was always getting sick. I would personally stick to no animal products as they are acidic in nature and will create mucus as it creates an inflammatory response. Water kefir and fermented foods like kombucha are great for you, yes. Stick to juicing and eating plenty of plant foods!

Hi! So thankful I found this site! I don’t have a juicer but I have a Vitamix. Would that work?

Yeah of course a Vitamix would work. If you want, you can strain the mixture from the Vitamix in a nut milk bag to get the juice out.
