My favorite time to drink a green smoothie is in the morning…HELLO energy!
When I work with my ‘coffee-drinking’ clients the first thing we do is substitute their morning coffee with a green smoothie. Just this simple change starts a dramatic shift in their body and they notice improvement almost immediately.
Drinking a green smoothie first thing in the morning also provides your cells with important nutrients and alkalizes your body. I can’t think of a better way to start the day!
I especially love THIS smoothie recipe because it boosts your enzymes for the day (meaning you’ll experience better digestion throughout the day) AND it dramatically decreases inflammation in the body. So give this recipe a try and say GOOD-BYE to belly bloat and body inflammation.
Here’s why this recipe so special:
Pineapple: High in Bromelain, an enzyme that supports proper digestion, reduces bloat & inflammation, and has been shown to help fight symptoms of osteoporosis.
Dandelion Greens: Contain essential fatty acids and phytonutrients that reduce body inflammation. Dandelion also supports proper liver & gallbladder function which supports digestion.
Fennel: Stimulates digestion and relieves symptoms of bloating and stomach pains.
Romaine Lettuce: Contains salicylic acid (a main compound in Aspirin) that has been found to reduce inflammation & pain in the body.
Ginger: Contains anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols that reduce inflammation and nausea.
Sunflower Sprouts: High in live enzymes which help support proper digestion, reduce inflammation and provide energy to the cells. Sunflower sprouts are especially high in healthy proteins .

Hi! Can you give me an example of what you mean by green powder of your choice? TIA! LOVE your site!!!
Green powder could be anything really! From Spinach powder to barley grass juice powder to alfalfa grass powder! So many options 🙂
Thanks Carly! I'll find something. Can't wait to try this!
Dandelion greens and sunflower sprouts are 2 things I'm not sure where to get. I've not seen them in any grocery store I've been to. Where do you find them?
Dandelion greens can be found in your backyard, and sunflower sprouts I make myself or buy them in a health food store.
