Do you know what’s in your shampoo? According to a report by U.S. researchers, 1 in 8 of the 82,000 ingredients used in personal care products (including shampoos and conditioners) are industrial chemicals which are highly carcinogenic and include things like pesticides to reproductive toxins and hormone disruptors.
Common chemicals used in shampoos and conditioners include things like PEG (polyethylene glycol), sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), FD&C colour and pigments, DEA, MEA and TEA as well as parabens, propylene glycol and benzoyl peroxide among others.
It is evident that everyone should be using natural, organic, chemical-free shampoo. Continuous exposure of harmful chemicals to the hair and scalp can eventually lead to reproductive issues, hormone issues and even some cancers. Natural shampoos help promote new hair growth by stimulating the hair follicles with essential vitamins and minerals. The all natural ingredients create a naturally hypo-allergenic product, making them suitable for all skin and/or scalp types. Natural shampoos are also environmentally friendly and contain ingredients that are biodegradable opposed to the harsh chemicals used in conventional shampoos.
I was recently contacted my a representative at Morrocco Methods who offered I give a try with their gluten-free, soy free, wheat free and colour safe raw vegan shampoos. All of the Morrocco Methods shampoos are created with the finest ingredients, and are suitable for individuals looking to live a more natural lifestyle, or those individuals who already live a vegan, raw, or chemical-free lifestyle.
I decided to give it a go, because after extensive research on their website I knew that their products would suit me well.
A few weeks later, I received an exciting package from the Morrocco Methods company which included a Zen Detox Hair & Scalp Therapy and a trial travel set of 5 different shampoos which were to be alternated between. These included earth (earth essence), air (pine shale), fire (apple cider vinegar), water (sea essence), and heavenly chi shampoo. I also received a chi instant hair conditioner which was optional to use after each cleaning.
What I experienced using these products:
I experienced nothing but pure awesomeness using these products! The smells of each individual elemental shampoo is like no other I have smelled, and the way they leave your hair feeling is like no other shampoo I have ever experienced. The quality and performance of these products is amazing!
In the beginning, using these shampoos, your hair needs to get used to them, so I would give them a month before you start to see the true effects. Detoxing your scalp in the beginning with the Zen Detox Hair & Scalp Therapy is essential (in my opinion) to truly getting the lustrous, glowing hair you’re dreaming of.
I also learned how to properly shampoo my hair – there are two parts two it. The first part involves loosening up debris so that the hair can be free of dirt and dead cells. The second part (massaging your clean head) helps stimulate blood flow to the scalp and opens follicles to allow nourishment for the roots, bulbs and hair shafts. This will allow the sebaceous oil glands that surround each hair follicle to become activated and properly lubricate the entire scalp, leaving radiantly beautiful hair as the end product.
Would I buy these products?
Of course! The shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and the way they leave your hair feeling afterward is clean, fresh, light and amazing! I especially loved the Zen Detox Hair & Scalp Therapy, getting my hands messy and coating my hair in a clay that sucked out years of previous chemical shampoos and hair care products. I would definitely suggest giving these products a try! A little goes a long way!
Wow! Thanks so much for this information. I intend to purchase the trial set and see what happens! I recently found out about Morocco Method from a YouTube living raw foods dude named “life regenerator.”

Life Regenerator is the man who helped me go raw 4 years ago, simply by watching his youtube videos! I am forever grateful for him, and his videos 🙂 Morocco Methods contacted me and I got the chance to use their wonderful products. I will never use any other shampoo again! I like to also supplement these with a little bit of pure, un-pasturized apple cider vinegar in my hair – I find it leaves my hair very silky 🙂
