If you have issues with water retention, edema, and weights that fluctuate week-by-week, then you may need this epic cucumber banana spinach smoothie!
It is often the case that a majority of us hold onto excess water weight. This shouldn’t be confused with actual “fat weight,” which, unfortunately, it is typically blamed as. If you weighed yourself yesterday and weighed yourself today, and noticed a dramatic increase (or devastating loss), then you may suffer from water retention (whether from excess salt, carbohydrate-depriving, or other).
This smoothie can help alleviate excess water weight and edema by encouraging urination, and flushing out excess salt from the body. Cucumber helps reduce water retention in the body by acting as a natural diuretic, while bananas, which are rich in potassium, counteract sodium and help reduce edema and swelling throughout the body.

How often should you drink this? Is this a daily regiment or something that would be good to do maybe once or twice a week?
Carly Fraser says
Maybe 3-4 times a week! 🙂

How much water do you add?
Carly Fraser says
If this recipe is too thick, you can add 1 cup of water, or however much water you want until it is the consistency you desire.
