Worried about blood pressure and cholesterol levels? This celery beet juice has got you covered – and without the nasty side effects that come with most blood pressure and cholesterol-lowering prescription medications.
The ingredients in this juice are perfect for naturally helping lower high blood pressure (hypertension) and improving your health overall.
Beets
Beets are an excellent source of dietary nitrate, which gets converted by the body into nitric oxide, and helps improve blood flow throughout the body. Nitrate does this by opening p the vessels and allowing for more oxygen flow (thus, lowering blood pressure) (1).
Beets are also high in B vitamins like folate, which help lower dangerous levels of homocysteine, and reduce thickening of arterial walls in those at risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) (2).
Celery
Celery is another great way to help reduce hypertension. First off, it is an excellent diuretic, which increases urine output, and therefore reduces sodium content in the body (a major cause of high blood pressure). The potassium content in celery also helps balance high sodium levels in the body.
Celery also contains compounds like 3-n-butylphthalide (NBP), apigenin, omega-6 fatty acids, potassium, and phthalides. NBP acts like a calcium channel blocker to dilate arteries and relax blood vessels (3), while apigenin reduces inflammation in the arteries and prevents blood clots (4).
Ginger
This awesome healing herb also helps reduce hypertension, or high blood pressure. The chemical compounds in ginger may help lower overall blood cholesterol, as well as low density lipoproteins, which are components of cholesterol that can cause heart disease.
Ginger also has the ability to block voltage-dependent calcium channels (5), attributing to its amazing blood pressure-lowering effects.
Drink this juice once every day, whether you are trying to lower your blood pressure, or trying to prevent any heart complications in the future.

Thsnkyou so much for all your information. Last week I had some celery that I wanted to us3 up quickly so made it into soup. It was delicious and I have since had several days of high energy. Could this be anything to do with the soup?
Could be! Raw celery juice is definitely a better energizer but I’m sure the soup had something to do with it if that is the only variable that changed in your life recently!
