I’ve always been the one to promote prevention before infection. So even though I’m not suffering from cancer, I’m actively preventing it by living a healthy lifestyle, full of raw foods, dance, yoga, low-stress, and plenty of fresh air and sun. Part of this prevention includes plenty of raw juices full of living enzymes and phytonutrients that keep cancer cells at bay.
This celery apple ginger juice contains up to 8 anti-cancer compounds that help fight against many forms of cancer. Acetylenics and phenolic acids, two major anti-cancer compounds in celery, help terminate cancer cell growth. Another compound called “coumarin,” in celery also helps decrease mutations in normal cells, which would normally cause certain cells to become cancerous.
Celery is also great for helping lower high blood pressure. It contains compounds called phthalides that help relax muscles around the arteries and allows vessels to dilate.
Celery Apple Ginger Juice Recipe
– 1 full head of celery
– 4 apples (I use pink lady apples – my favourite!)
– 4 inches fresh ginger root
– 2 lemons, peeled
Run all of the above ingredients through a juicer like the Omega or Breville, and enjoy immediately!
