Watermelon is a great antioxidant and nutritional powerhouse! So what better than to enjoy it in this strawberry watermelon limeade?
Watermelon is rich in vitamins B6, B1, and magnesium, all of which are required for energy production. It also contains more beta-carotene than carrots, making it a great way to protect against macular degeneration, and to strengthen the retina of our eyes.
Watermelon is also a natural diuretic, and therefore helps increase the flow of urine. They also help the liver process ammonia (waste from protein digestion), and so it eases strain on the kidneys while getting rid of excess fluids.
This melon is also incredibly beneficial if you are looking to lower blood pressure. It contains amino acids that help generate nitric oxide, a compound that causes blood vessels to open up, therefore lowering blood pressure.
