While there are many effective all-natural home remedies, oregano tea is at the top of the list.
Oregano tea is surprisingly not used by many people – but it should be! From its ability to helping cure a sore throat, to fighting sinus infections and the flu, this herb should, without a doubt, be in everyones “medicine” cabinet.
Why Drink Oregano Tea?
Oregano tea has been used traditionally for centuries as a treatment for different ailments. It possesses both antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties.
Oregano tea is also high in iron, manganese, vitamin E, iron, calcium, omega fatty acids, and tryptophan. These are all major immune system strengtheners, and help your body to fight off infection. It’s even powerful enough to fight drug-resistant MRSA (1).
Oregano also contains more than 40 different medicinal compounds (mainly antioxidants) that work to protect the cells from free radicals.
Oregano tea can help soothe and heal a sore throat, sinus problems and infections, as well as fight off cancer growth (2). It contains beneficial anti-inflammatory properties, and can also fight osteoporosis and arteriosclerosis.
Not only can oregano heal these ailments, it has also been found that the antioxidants present in oregano can help lower LDL cholesterol (3).

How often should this be drank? Can a person drink too much of this tea?
You cannot drink too much of this tea. If your condition is bad, try to aim for 2-3 times per day.
Can I also use dried oregano? How much.
Two tablespoons dried will be the equivalent of six tablespoons fresh.
Is dried as effective
Yes! Just make sure it wasn’t heated to temperatures that kill the beneficial nutrients. I make my own dried oregano from fresh in my dehydrator at safe temps.
What about using essential oil of Oregano, how much would I use
I wouldn’t consume oregano essential oil. Make sure it is oil of oregano, and intended for internal consumption. Use as directed by the bottle.
Great thank u sweetie
Why not consume the leaves? ?
Of course! You can do that too! Sometimes making a tea is a bit easier though in terms of concentration. But if you like chewing on lots of fresh oregano, go for it!
I HAVE MOLD – I PRAY IT WORKS – WHAT ELSE WILL HELP PLEASE – GAIL
Oregano is great to help get rid of mold. Do you mean you’ve had black mold exposure, and now there is mold in your blood? Or are we talking something different? I would suggest reaching out to a local naturopath to help you get rid of mold in the body, as it can take quite some time and a really solid plan to get rid of it.
