If you are recovering from a workout, or want speedy recovery from a surgery or wound, then this honeydew ginger smoothie is just the thing you need. One of the amazing benefits of honeydew is that it contains collagen, which helps aid in the healing of wounds and maintaining the structure and integrity of cells, including our connective tissue.
This hydrating fruit is also high in vitamins C and B-complex, as well as minerals like copper and silicon. It helps to alkalize and mineralize the entire body, while strengthening the immune system and providing quick repair for muscles and all bodily tissues.
Make sure your honeydew is ripe before making this smoothie. It will emit a sweet floral perfume and yield gently to pressure. It’s skin will also start to turn slightly yellow. Melon flesh should never be hard, but in fact soft and incredibly sweet!
