Pale ginger lemonade in a clear short glass, light cloudy yellow color, smooth surface with no foam. Thin slice of fresh ginger placed on the rim of the glass. Glass positioned on a rectangular light wooden board. A small piece of fresh ginger root placed beside the glass, along with a few fresh mint leaves in the foreground.

Migraines are a pain, literally and figuratively.

But there are natural ways to get rid of your migraine – and under 30 minutes or less!

How? Well, with ginger of course. Ginger is one of the most healing rhizomes on the planet, and when you consume it, you know it’s doing its work.

Dr. Greger at nutritionfacts.org made a video (check it below!), citing a study that mixed powdered ginger with water to help get rid of a patients migraines. After 30 minutes of drinking this mixture, the patient no longer had a migraine! Not to mention, ginger is also great for digestion, inflammation, strengthening the immune system and toning the lymphatic system.

Making ginger tea isn’t difficult, and I’ll be showing you some spins on ginger water that you can experiment with to add even more body-improving benefits to your routine.

Get Rid Of Your Migraine with this Recipe

Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup finely sliced fresh ginger (organic is best – and strongest!)
– 1 litre spring water or regular filtered water

Method:

1. Heat the water on the stove until it becomes warm (not boiling hot)!
2. Add your ginger, stir, and put on the lid. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
3. Strain the ginger, and drink immediately. Your migraine will be gone in no time!

*You can also add 1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper and some honey and lemon to this ginger water recipe to up the migraine-reducing effects!

If you have a juicer, you could also make this delicious green juice, or this delectable tonic, both of which contain plenty of ginger to ensure your migraine goes away with ease.
