Garlic Tonic

This garlic tonic is the only medicine you’ll need this winter to keep your immune system strong.

Most antibiotics you get from the pharmacy are one-dimensional in their approach to killing bacteria in the body. These microbes are very intelligent, and can “evolve” to get around being destroyed by such antibiotics. Because penicillin has been around for so long, most microbes have devised ways to get around being destroyed by these drugs. Antibiotic resistance is a real thing.

Natural anti-pathogens, like garlic, contain dozens of different bio-chemicals that make it virtually impossible for microbes to work around. Garlic contains over 100 biologically active sulphur-containing compounds. It is one of the most potent natural antibiotics in the world.

The complexity of biologically active compounds in garlic make it impossible for pathogens to evolve around. When you combine that, with other compounds like ginger, onion, apple cider vinegar, honey and lemon, it is virtually impossible for any pathogens to stick around. The best thing is, is that these natural forms of “medicating” the body do not create resistant bacterial strains – so they essentially work forever.

This tonic is more like a super concentrated juice that you mix with water to cut down on the intensity. Take a couple times a week to supercharge your immune system! Also, be sure to use organic garlic, as most conventional garlic is laden with pesticides and bleached.

Garlic Tonic Recipe

Ingredients:

– 1 bulb of garlic, peeled for individual cloves
– 1/2 cup onion
– 1 lemon, peeled
– 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
– 2 tbsp. raw unpasteurized honey
– 4 inches fresh ginger root
– water to mix

Method:

1. Juice the garlic cloves, onion, lemon, and ginger root. Put in glass jar.
2. Mix in honey, and apple cider vinegar.
3. Take a couple tablespoons and mix with water to cut the intensity of the flavour.
4. Store in fridge for a few days.

No, garlic is generally safe. If you're on any type of medications, ask your doctor if consuming garlic is okay.

With a juicer! You could also make the recipe by squeezing the lemon juice, crushing the garlic, cutting up the onion and grating the ginger. Then, add all the ingredients to sit in a jar overnight, then strain and store.
