Whether you’re trying to lose weight, or just want to look and feel your best, one of the best ways to do so is by making some lemon ginger detox water. It’s incredibly simple to make, and takes less than 5 minutes.
I like to a make a huge batch of this stuff the night before (like 4 litres of water in a huge glass jar) so that I can drink it the next day.
What’s so great about lemon ginger water? If you haven’t yet read my article on lemon water, I suggest you do so now. Lemon water helps strengthen the immune system, tones and flushes out toxins from the lymphatic system, alkalizes the body, and so much more.
Adding a little ginger to this mix helps with appetite control, and gives your metabolism a little boost to help shed any excess weight you may be holding on to.
Lemon ginger water is also helpful for ridding the body of water weight caused by sodium retention. Drinking enough of this water every day (like 3-4 litres of it) will reduce water weight, and make weight loss seem effortless!

Yes, definitely. Just not too much!
Can I drink this while pregnant?
Always consult with a doctor first, but as far as I know, lemon and ginger are safe during pregnancy.
Can I reuse the lemons and ginger for another gallon or do I need to use new?
I would probably use new, as all the benefits have already soaked into the first water round – there would be little left for another gallon.
Can someone who's trying to conceive take this drink?
Lemon by itself is fine, but ginger will make it more difficult to conceive.
Could I use less water to concentrate it freeze in ice cube trays and drop in glass of hot water
Definitely! That’s a great idea 🙂
