mango turmeric smoothie

Mangoes are one of the most powerful body-healing fruits on the planet! They help fight cancer, balance the body’s acidity and keep cholesterol in check.

The health benefits of mango range much more than those mentioned above. They are high in beta-carotene, which is converted to vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A helps keep our eyes strong and plays a vital role in bone growth, reproduction, and immune system health.

But lets focus on the main benefits of mango – cancer eradication, body-alkalization and cholesterol-lowering effects.

Mangoes contain a high percentage of antioxidants that efficiently scavenge free radicals and protect liver cells from chemical-induced damage. One study found that ataulfo mangoes inhibit colon cancer cell growth by up to 72%!

They’re also wonderful for alkalizing the body, and helping lower cholesterol. Mangoes contain plant stand esters, which are very efficient in reducing LDL (“bad”) cholesterol – they literally inhibit LDL cholesterol absorption from the intestine. They’re high in vitamin C and pectin, too, which help reduce bad cholesterol accumulation in the body.

Not to mention, this smoothie also contain turmeric, which in itself is one of the best herbal remedies you could be putting in your body. You can read all about turmeric here.
