What’s the difference with this and one from Hawaii?

I take both, but I generally recommend Nutrex Hawaii, because it is a bit more accessible and cheaper (and their company is awesome).

I do not know of anyone personally, I only know of the studies that have been performed on spirulina in relation to HIV.

One version of the Hawaiian product is 500 mg, the other is 1000 mg tablets. What is the dosage you recommend?

Sorry, I am not sure which product you are talking about? The Nutrex Hawaiian spirulina? Or Biolumina? The Nutrex Hawaiian spirulina does come in different tablet amounts – I would follow the directions on the bottle. I take around 1 teaspoon a day (powder), as recommended on the bottle (which is equivalent to 3000mg spirulina).
