Ginger Lemon Tonic Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 inch fresh ginger root
  • 2 inches fresh turmeric root (or 1 tsp. powdered turmeric)
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups filtered water

Method
 

  1. Juice the ginger, turmeric (if using fresh), and lemon.
  2. Stir in the water, maple syrup, ACV, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon. Mix well and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Tip: If you don't have a juicer, you can grate the ginger and turmeric finely, squeeze out the juice using a cheesecloth or fine strainer, and then mix with the remaining ingredients.
