You may need to remove mucus from your body if you suffer from a chronic cough that won’t go away, or if you wake up with puffy and crusty eyes in the morning. There are over 12 foods that cause excessive mucus in the body, and most of these foods a large majority of the population consumes.
Excessive mucus means the body is in a state of agitation, and removing it is as important as brushing your teeth in the morning. When your body produces excess mucus, it is used to capture irritant particles and shuttle them out of the body. How does the body get them out? By coughing, stuffing up your nose, making breathing difficult and more.
Eliminating foods that cause mucus is key to helping the body function at an optimal pace. These foods include things like dairy, all corn products, eggs, sugary treats, wheat, deep fried foods, soy products, safflower/sunflower oil, jams and jellies, high-fat red meat, alcohol and caffeine.
There are also certain foods that help relieve excess mucus, some of the best being radishes, dill, citrus fruits, all leafy greens, celery and ginger and turmeric. In fact, one of the best mucus dissolvers in the world are radishes. Including plenty of radishes in your diet and consuming juices such as the one in this recipe will help improve your mucus state significantly.

Hi Carley,
Went through your post which were very good and impressive.
I have excess mucus formation when I travel, when seated in Air Conditioned environment and while consuming foods as well. This disrupts me n it results into a tiring day.
Kindly suggest how to go about it?
Carly Fraser says
Avoid mucus-forming foods, by following the link below. As for travel, try to drink up to 4 litres of water – travel and air travel is incredibly dehydrating which causes major fatigue.

I have bad couph with alot of mucous. The couphing comes & goes, (maybe every 3 hrs for about 1 hr), but the spitting it up from my throat seems constant & really bugs me. I've tried couph syrup with codein, eucalyptis oil, lots of water. Time to try your recipe. How many times do I drink it all? I'd like to know how many "blender-shakes" of it I should make. How often do I drink it & how long before ALL this extra mucous is gone?

Please check out my article on mucus: https://livelovefruit.com/foods-that-cause-excessive-mucus/
Also, I would drink this every day, and keep drinking it until your mucus is gone. Every body is different.

Also, my blender only holds 5 cups. I had to put water in it to thin it out a bit. It was NOT very tasty when I tried to drink it. I dunno what do to.
Thanx

Your recipe is too thick & too distasteful to drink. Filtering it thru a strainer takes forever. (1/4 cup strainer takes 15 min)..5 cup blender of your recipe takes 2 hrs

Hey Joe – sorry you feel that way. This recipe is intended to be juiced by a juicer (like an Omega 8006, which is what I use). It definitely wouldn't taste the best in a blender.
