If you consume a Standard American Diet, the truth is, is that you likely have some parasite cleansing to do. Thankfully, there are safe and natural ways to eliminate parasites that you should probably utilize before its too late (and by too late, I mean suffering from nasty symptoms and developing weird illnesses and disease).
Not to freak you out or anything, but these are some common symptoms of parasites (which, thankfully, are also symptoms of other deficiencies and illnesses, BUT, that could also be a direct result of parasites festering in the body): constipation, diarrhea, gas and bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, joint and muscle aches, anemia, cravings for junk food, not wanting to eat vegetables, allergies, skin conditions (irritation, itching at nose/ears/eyes/anus, rashes, hives, and eczema), tumours, nervousness/anxiety, sleep disorders, teeth grinding, chronic fatigue, fuzzy thinking, headaches, runny nose, loss of appetite, bad taste in mouth, acne, fever, dark areas under eyes, and yeast/candida infections (especially if it returns).
I noticed that when I first went raw vegan, I almost never craved my greens (leafy greens, vegetables, etc.) – when I started to cleanse and water fast, and emptied out my body from a past of toxic living, I found that my body naturally craved these foods! I discovered through my research that parasites cannot stand the high oxygen content in leafy greens. I went from a salad-hating girl, to a salad-LOVING girl. I can’t go a day without drinking a litre of green juice, and then finishing my day with a HUGE salad! Suffice to say, I do not suffer from any of the above symptoms anymore, and this calms my mind in knowing that I am pretty much parasite-free! And you can be too!
Here are 10 natural ways to eliminate parasites you almost certainly have!
1. Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse
As with my own experience in cleansing, I can tell you that this is one of the best ways to help eliminate parasites. Water fasting is by far, one of the most effective ways to get rid of parasites, but if you can’t submit yourself to that much dedication, try juice fasting for 30 days and see where that takes you – I promise you, that you will feel like a new person!
2. Stop consuming or limit animal products
Avoid all raw or poorly cooked meats, fish, seafood and shellfish! They are usually full of parasitic eggs and cysts. Also, avoid all pig products like ham, bacon, pork, lard, pig skin, and sausage made with pork. I won’t post a picture, but look up “trichina infection of the brain” on google – you will never eat another pork product again.
3. Eat plenty of raw fruit and vegetables
Try going vegan, or even raw vegan for a week or two and watch your health sky-rocket! Enhancing overall vitality of the body is required to rid the body of parasites. Parasites live on low-frequencies and thrive in sick bodies. Improving your vitality through the incredible energy of raw fruits and vegetables will often easily expel parasites. Having a clean, healthy body will also enhance the body’s ability to resist future parasitic infestations.
4. Consider a liver detox
Because parasites cannot stand bile (it is irritating and even lethal for parasites), a liver cleanse is almost necessary. For a majority of people, the liver doesn’t function as optimally as it’s supposed to. This will result in reduced bile flow, and a higher chance for parasite infestation. As one cleanses the liver, whether with dandelion root tea, dandelion greens, burdock, beets, and other liver cleansing herbs and foods, you will improve bile flow, and help destroy festering parasites.
5. Eat more raw garlic and onions
Raw garlic and onions provide the body with sulfur containing amino acids which are highly anti-parasitic. This isn’t that hard to get it in your body, either. If you have a juicer, juice 1-2 cloves of garlic, 1 red onion, some leafy greens, celery and lemon! If you don’t have a juicer, simply make a salad and add in a clove of garlic and a bunch of red onion (along with other vegetables of course!).
6. Supplement with oil of oregano
This amazing supplement is extremely volatile and anti-parasitic. In one study, 77% of patients treated for enteric parasites were parasite-FREE after taking oil of oregano in tablet form for six weeks. Use 2-3 drops with a little bit of lemon in a glass of water and drink 3-4 times a day. I found that Oreganol is one of the best oil of oregano products out there! Highly recommended.
7. Get a good quality probiotic
Probiotics are a great way to defeat intestinal worms. Studies have shown that by incorporating a daily probiotic supplement to your diet, you can completely cure yourself of hookworm, a parasite that affects between 576-740 million people EVERY YEAR. A good-quality, ultimate probiotic that I recommend is by Garden of Life, and it is well worth your money!
8. Incorporate herbs into your diet
Incorporating anti-parasitic herbs into your diet like Black Walnut, Pau d’Arco, thyme, burdock, wormwood and cloves, is probably one of the most effect ways to help flush parasites out. Thankfully, there is a product called Worm Out by Trilight (alcohol and sugar free!), which contains all 6 of these herbs in one handy tincture. With this product, you simply take 1/2 teaspoon per 25 lbs. of body weight every 3 hours. It tastes a bit earthy, but it is well worth the benefits you achieve in the long-run.
9. Get rid of food allergens (parasites LOVE these!)
Food allergens like soy, wheat, eggs, and dairy are things that parasites love! If you continue eating these foods, the parasites will likely have found a long-term home in your body. Besides, these foods also trigger a host of different illnesses and disorders like hormone imbalance, MS, IBS, cancer, mucus-production, and so much more. Might as well just get rid of them to experience total, abundant health!
10. Pumpkin seeds!
This is probably one of the easiest ways to help de-worm your body. Raw pumpkin seeds (when soaked and sprouted for a couple days) dramatically helps eliminate a variety of worms. In fact, Native Americans are known to have chewed pumpkin seeds as an aid in de-worming their body!

Oil of oregano can be a very effective way to treat parasites, but be careful with the strength of the oil you use and how you use it. I used an 85%+ pure OO added to water with the intention to kill parasites and boost my immune system. Instead, I just burned my mucosal lining from throat to stomach. Awful!
Make sure your OO is diluted with OIL (not water, not lemon juice). Or else be extra safe and use a capsule such as those by Gaia Herbs.

Thanks for the input Toffler!

I’m assuming it would be OK to use (as a dairy substitute) almond milk? Thanks so much for this article.
Carly Fraser says
Absolutely! Almond milk is a great substitute, especially if you can make it yourself using raw almonds 🙂

Carly makes some good points. I'd like to add a few things:
Read Hulda Clarks' books – she speaks extensively about different parasite infections in humans, their symptoms and what you can do to reduce or remove them. Know that it is nearly impossible to be parasite free completely.
Thinking that becoming vegetarian or vegan will shield you from getting parasites is a dangerious myth. It is usually the raw, not properly washed and disinfected leafy greens that carry many parasitical eggs which people happily choomp or drink down thinking they are so healthy for doing so. Yes, of course raw meats are just as much a culprit, but know that vegetables are just as guilty if not handled properly. And by "properly" I don't mean washing for a few seconds under the tap. Even soaking is not enough. At the very least soad for a good five minutes in a water/vinegar (20% solution!) mix – and this, AFTER you've already washed your veggies/fruit.
You also need tremendous amounts of high quality fats, real salt, and super clean water as a basic foundation for a strong physical body. Getting rid of parasites is not always so easy. You often need to do a good deworming (which in practice can take several weeks to months) and do so at least once ore twice a year depending on your personal circumstances. Parastical infections are not uncommon, in fact, everyone reading this likely has many different kinds of parasites roaming around their bodies doing damage.
Don't freak out about these things. They are a fact of life that comes with having a body. Educate yourself as much as possible and do what you feel is best for you and your personal circumstances. If you still aren't feeling great, then keep searching for answers.

Dear Yvette, This was so helpful and ‘commonsensical’ to me. I have been dealing with various parasites for a while now and was beginning to get disheartened. can you elaborate on ‘tremendous amounts of high quality fats.’
Many thanks and good wishes.
Pam
Yvette says
Hello Pan, my apologies for not responding sooner, but I only just now saw your comment. High-quality fats help both build and protect one's body. If you are open to eating meat products, then organic (if possible) lard, or pig fat, is good as is fat from other healthy animals such as duck. I know that most people reading this will crucify this suggestion since we are brainwashed into thinking that fat is bad, especially lard. However, this is simply not true. Sure, poor quality fats are indeed, bad for us, but that doesn't mean we should leave out fat completely. Rather, be more selective. People who eat high-quality fat and even lots of it do not gain weight, and generally, tend to have more energy. The same goes with sugar. We actually do need sugar. It is a major source of energy, but like fat, we need to be selective about what type we ingest. Preferably reduce refined sugars and stick with natural sugars. In order for the liver and gall bladder to do a great job of making digestive juices, which help keep your digestion strong, and thus your ability to keep your immunity up, you need to have good fats in your diet. Most seed and nut oils/butters are good, as is coconut oil. Cold pressed, non-refined, raw, organic are best if possible.
Parasite cleanses need to be cyclical.
Don't despair, it takes time and dedication to reducing one's parasite load after it has overrun the body. Hulda Clark has a great natural protocol which is a combination of black walnut, clove, and wormwood. Unfortunately, in most cases, this is not enough. Taking this regularly IS very helpful, but to take back the control you may need more options.
If you know a vet, have a frank chat with them and ask what they use to treat various parasite infections in their animals, how often they think they should be treated and where and how they believe animals get infected in the first place. I guarantee it will be a very enlightening conversation.
Some countries understand parasite infection in humans to be a fact of life. They make it easy to walk into any pharmacy and ask for a deworming medication, even without a prescription. In North America, this is not yet the view and it can be challenging to get appropriate medical attention. What makes it even more difficult is that the typical lab tests are notorious for coming back negative, when in fact, the person is positive for parasites.
If you feel you have parasites, don't give up Pan, keep searching until you find ways to get the help and support you need.

im on day 12 of my juice fast to rid myself of the constant stomach pain parasites have been causing me. been drinking lots of vegetable juices i make at home but on day 10 i sadly drank a lot of store-bought juice with lots of added sugar 🙁 and soon after felt the ever so familiar pain of the parasites going crazy. i got back on the fresh juices only, but i am wondering, did i completely scrap the first ten days of my fast, and i should start over, or just keep going. hoping to do 21 days but if i dont get rid of the parasites i guess ill go longer.
thanks, benjamin

Just keep going. Don't let the breaking of the fast get you down, just pick back up where you started 🙂
